We are all in the same boat: once we are born, our death is inevitable. At the same time, it is difficult and scary for most people to realize and accept this fact.

We just don't understand why we should think about death and what it means to us when we're so busy living. But times are changing and thoughts of death now do not leave our consciousness. Right now, more than ever, our attitude towards death will affect how we live in this time of change and inconstancy.

During this training, everyone will be able to explore, without superstition and a fear, what death means for him personally and how to support himself and those around him if you or they are already faced with death.

The core program of the ULTIMATE MEDITATION course consists of 4 modules. Each module lasts 3,5 days.
The first and third modules will be held in the format of live retreat, the second and fourth - in the format of an online seminar on ZOOM.
What do we mean by “conscious dying”?
It means the opposite of what most people do – which is to misunderstand the nature of death and to regard it as the enemy of life.

Superstitions and beliefs are so much a part of our conditioning that we are reluctant to even talk about it. So when we are faced with death or when those we love are dying, we are frightened, full of anguish and regrets. We don’t even know the first step in how to be with what is happening.
And it doesn’t have to be like that!

Life and death is one, continuous process. Just as we use our awareness and intelligence to respond to all that life brings to us – including all kinds of crises – so we can use all the inner resources we have to prepare for and meet our dying too.

In Rapport
19th-21st May 2023 — €350

in our third module the focus will be on “being-there-for-the-other”… on basic communication skills; active listening; the use of touch, of music, and those skills that are especially significant when we are close to a dying person, when that person is in physical and emotional pain, such as grief; in coma; or when they look to us for validation of their religious beliefs, which we may not share, or seek answers about the most basic of questions, such as the meaning of life and what is coming next.

We’ll also learn how to guide another into a space of relaxed awareness.

4th Module:
Practical Aspects, including Care of the Carer; Ethics, Legal Issues, Funeral/Celebration
June 2023 — €350
Online
Being with a dying person can be a very profound experience, even life-changing – especially if that person is a relative or close friend. While the emphasis of this training is on the psycho-spiritual, we also need to be aware of the practicalities – such as taking care of ourselves as a support person; the inter-personal dynamics of those around the dying person, for example the family; the legal implications of assisted dying; last rites, saying goodbye, etc. In addition, we’ll review the learnings of the training, and look at what we intend do with the experience.

*Please be aware that this workshop is open only to those who have participated in “An Experiential Enquiry into Death.”
